GOVERNOR'S PLATE

We are so excited for the 2022 “Governor’s Plate” competition! This event is held during the Colorado State Fair on August 30th, 2022!
The Governor’s Plate was created in 2021 to highlight Colorado’s diverse and unbeatable agricultural products and chefs. Five trucks competed last year, with Papa Mario’s Grilled Cheese from Pueblo taking home top honors. For the 2022 competition the theme is “Your take on fair food”. Each truck will put their creative spin on one of their favorite fair food’s! Applications are now closed and we plan to select 8-10 trucks to compete! Each truck will prepare and serve 500 sample size portions to guests and Governor Polis at the competition. Tickets to attend the event, sample the food for yourself and place your vote for the “People’s Choice Truck” are available here!
Furthermore, the competing trucks will have to be registered as “Colorado Proud” which means they utilize any food or agricultural product that has been grown, raised or processed in Colorado. By supporting registered Colorado Proud businesses you are helping Colorado’s economy, local farmers, ranchers, greenhouses, manufacturers and processors in your area.
