A uniquely Pueblo event, come watch the fifth year of the World Slopper Eating Championship! This event is sanctioned by the Major League Eaters and is open to professional eaters. Registration is coordinated through the MLE and additional information is available here.
Sloppers are a local delicacy featuring an open-faced cheeseburger smothered in pork green chile. If you’re ordering this in Pueblo, be sure to get fries on top! This is Southern Colorado’s can’t miss dish.
The 2020 event winner, Geoffrey Esper, holds the world record at 37.5 9 oz sloppers! He bested 2019 winner, Darron Breeden, by more than 9 sloppers. Don’t try this at home, folks.
