Livestock – Jr & Open Dairy Cattle

The Open and Junior Dairy Cattle shows will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024.  Both Heifer and Cow shows will take place on Friday, August 30th.  

Exhibitors should read and be familiar with all show requirements.  

Due to continued cases of H5N1 Avian Influenza in the State of Colorado, the Colorado State Veterinarian has issued testing requirements for transporting and showing of all Dairy Cattle.  Please read the guidance below so you will be informed prior to coming to the Colorado State Fair with your dairy cattle.  PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY LACTATING DAIRY COWS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO THE TESTING LISTED IN THE GUIDANCE PROVIDED BY THE STATE VETERINARIAN’S OFFICE.  DAIRY HEIFERS WILL NEED THE NORMAL HEALTH PAPERS COMPLETED BY THE VETERINARIAN NO MORE THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.

The CSF Livestock Office will no longer be handling bedding for exhibitors.  You may pre-order bedding from Rustic Ranch Supply State Fair Livestock Bedding and Feed Order Form or Rustic Ranch Supply will be on-grounds throughout the duration of the Fair for your bedding needs.
