The Colorado State Fair proudly hosts 4 nights of PRCA Rodeo on August 22-25.
Don’t miss all the action in the Big R Arena! Concerts follow the rodeo on August 22, 23, and 24.
Ranch Rodeo
On Wednesday, August 27 don’t miss the Mountain States Ranch Rodeo. It will be a 5-Man Hybrid Scramble with Open Ranch Bronc Riding.
The Ranch Rodeo starts at 6:00 PM and is followed by a Ned Ledoux concert. This event is FREE to all Fair attendees!
Celebracion de los Charros
One of the highlights of Fiesta Day is the Celebracion de Los Charros, a traditional Mexican charreada.
Los Huracanes del Norte will perform following the rodeo!
Chute Tours
Is this your first rodeo? Do you need a unique experience for friends or colleagues? Take a Chute Tour during the 2025 Colorado State Fair! Participants will receive an exclusive, behind the scene tours and insight from Colorado State Fair rodeo stock contractor, Kirsten Vold. Learn more about the sport of rodeo and what it takes to be a competitive cowboy or cowgirl athlete. Chute Tours are available Friday-Monday, August 22-25. Tours will meet in front of the Big R Arena at 5pm on August 22, 23, and 25, and 3pm on August 24.
2025 Colorado State Fair Rodeo Contestant Horse Requirements
Attention all Rodeo exhibitors! We’re excited to welcome you to the 2025 Colorado State Fair. To ensure a healthy and safe environment for everyone, please be prepared with the necessary health papers.
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI): Required for all animals entering the grounds. Your CVI must be dated within 30 days of arrival.
Negative Coggins Test: Required for all out-of-state equines (horses, mules, donkeys). Your test must be within the last 12 months. Though this is not required for in-state equine, it is strongly recommended that all equine entering the grounds have had a negative test within the last 12 months.
Please know that these documents are mandatory for entry. If you arrive without the required paperwork, you may be turned away. An on-site vet check may be available at your expense, but it is not guaranteed. Please have all your documents ready for a smooth check-in.
